China Intensifies Administration of Fishing in South China Sea

A new law enforcement unit was set up Monday, December 19, in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province, to intensify the administration of fishing activities in the South China Sea.

The new unit, named the South China Sea General Office of the China Fishing Administration, is upgraded from the former inspection brigade stationed in the South China Sea by the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture.

The office is equipped with China's most powerful law-enforcing business vessel "China Fishing Administration Ship 303 " and four large-capacity ships, including three ships with 3,000 dead weight tonnage.
