East China's Largest Fruit Wholesale Trading Market Opens
The largest imported fruit and vegetable wholesale trading market in east China began operation in
Shanghai
Monday.
Nearly 100 domestic and overseas businessmen now operate in the market. The first phase of the market construction covers 6.67 hectares of land, and the overall market construction will cover 26.67 hectares of land.
The market, which has over 150 trading berths for containers, has a daily handling capacity of 300 containers. The multi- functional market combines functions of custom-made quarantine area for plants and animals.
