Five Enterprises Punished for Smuggling/Tax Evasion
The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) recently punished five foreign trade enterprises for smuggling and tax dodging.
Shandong
Yuandong International Foreign Trade Company was revoked license for foreign trade by MOFTEC for smuggling polyethylene to a worth 11.41million yuan and evading 3.6821million yuan of taxes. Other four companies including Shandong Liaocheng Imports & Exports Company were ordered to suspend single commodity operation for six months due to smuggling and evading taxes from half to one million yuan.
