Maersk Backs Beijing's Olympic Bid

Maersk Group, a Danish company, has recently signed a contract with Beijing Olympic Bid Committee (BOBC) in support of Beijing's bid to host the 2008 Olympic Games.

According to the contract, the Maersk Group will donate money to the BOBC, which in return would award a partnership to Maersk, admitting it in the BOBC's Supporting Group at the contract signing ceremony.

The Maersk Group, the biggest in Denmark, is engaged in sea transportation, oil and gas, shipbuilding and aviation industries as well as supermarket chains and IT services.
