PeopleOnline Launches Six Feature Websites

PeopleOnline Launches Website of Six Features
Facing the slowdown of the Internet economy, how could China's dotcoms seek for survival and development? A forum echoing this theme is being held on December 18 in Shanghai.

The forum was sponsored by the PeopleOnline (www.people.com.cn ), one of China's major and comprehensive news websites. It is now on show at Shanghai International Website Fair. Along with the forum, the PeopleOnline also launched six feature websites: Union News Net (www.unn.com.cn ), People's Health (www.wsjk.com.cn ), People's Bookstore (www.booker.com.cn), Sports Online (www.people.com.cn/sports ), People's Navigator (rmdh.people.com.cn) and My China (www.mychn.com ). Thus, the PeopleOnline is the first in China to have set up a cluster of websites by reshaping itself into an "Internet Group".

Dotcom high-profilers attended the forum. Wu Hengquan, deputy editor-in-chief of the People's Daily and director of People's Daily Network Centre, addressed the forum on the present situation and future development of China's Internet industry.
