Hong Kong International Kite Festival Opened

The Hong Kong International Kite Festival, the biggest ever of its kind, was opened December 17 at the former Hong Kong Kai-Tak International Airport and attracted over 30 thousand HK citizens to enjoy the gathering.

26 teams from Indonesia, Japan, ROK, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, German, New Zealand, Sweden, Britain, US, China's Mainland, Taiwan Province and the host Hong Kong SAR participated in the contest.

The activity was co-sponsored by Creation and Cultural Services Department of the HKSAR and the Golden Resources Group.
