Inner Mongolia Completes First Modern Sewage Treatment Plant
Inner Mongolia's first modern sewage treatment plant adopting the biochemical technique has gone into operation in this capital of
Inner Mongolia
Autonomous Region.
Construction of the plant, which is capable of treating 70,000 tons of sewage a day, began on October of 1998. The plant covers an area of nine hectares and involved a total investment of 100 million yuan (about US$12 million).
