National Cable TV Network to Be United By Year End
Xu Guangchun, Minister of State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, recently disclosed that China Radio & Television Cable Network Group, a group that integrates nationwide cable TV network assets, would be founded at the end of this year.
Three years ago, Radio, Film & Television Information Network Center, an affiliate of State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, set up China Radio & TV Co. Ltd. with registered capital of 50 million yuan to specially undertake the construction of television network. State Administration of Radio, Film and Television planned to reorganize the company into China Radio & Television Cable Network Group by making use of the license it has obtained and the network assets of various provinces it has purchased. The group will include two parts, the network company and media company.
