China's Environment Projects Won Ford Award
Altogether 6 environment projects of China were cited and given an award of a total of RMB1m yuan by Ford Motor Company on December 14.

The 6 projects are in connection with: Tibet antelope/yak protection in Qinghai; Chinese children's "Global Village"; Farmer Li Rong's afforestation by the Great Wall; "White Leaf Monkey protection" and "sustainable development of community" by "Little Horse" reporters' group from Inner Mongolia and Beijing University in Guangxi Province; as well as "community environment education" in Weining County Reserve, Guizhou Province.

Ford environment award is one of the world largest environment funds projected for protection of local environment, traditional and natural sources. So far, it has become a drive to cover over 30 countries and regions and entered China for the first time this September with regard to projects on natural environment protection and environment education on youngsters.
