Beijing's Foreign Trade Exceeds 10 Billion US Dollars

According to the customs statistics, Beijing has seen its imports and exports reach a total of US$ 10.5 billion by November, 2000, the first time in its history.

Exports totaled US$ 4.2 billion and imports reached US$ 6.3 billion, up 44 and 40 percent respectively over the same period of last year, higher than the average increase rate in the country's import and export trade.
