Bush on shared goals "at the earliest opportunity.""Canada and the United States have a relationship unique in the world... with the largest trading relationship on the globe," he said in a statement on the US presidential election. "I look forward to working with President-elect Bush to continue building on that relationship and to identify new ways of achieving our shared goals," said the prime minister. He pointed out one important opportunity for cooperation as next April's Summit of the Americas in Quebec City. "We will join our partners in the Americas to promote democracy, prosperity, and social equity in our hemisphere," he said. Bush, 54, claimed the US presidency in a nationally televised address Wednesday night.
