Anhui to Build World's largest Potted Landscape Exhibition Center
The world's largest potted landscape exhibition center, the " Baojia Garden," will be built near the Tangyue Archway Group in Shexian County, east China's Anhui Province.
The garden will be built jointly by Shenxian County Tourism Company and Zhong'an Economic and Trade Resource Development Company.
It will cover an area of about 67 hectares and involve a total investment of 163 million yuan (about US$20 million). The first phase of the project is scheduled for completion in April of 2001.
The garden will be built on the basis of private gardens of affluent businessmen. It will have 19 sections such as a potted lansscape sub-garden, an exhibition hall of Hui (Anhui) culture, teahouses and some small workshops.
The garden, the Tangyue Archway Group and Bao clan and woman ancestral temples will jointly constitute a complete picture of the hometown of Hui business people and display the ancient Hui culture.
