First Anniversary of Macao SAR Becomes Focus of Media

Nearly 600 reporters from 92 media organizations around the world have applied to cover the activities marking the first anniversary of the founding of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR).

They include 166 reporters from Macao, 68 from the inland areas of China, 300 from Hong Kong and Taiwan, and 63 from other regions.

The Information Services of the Macao SAR government began to receive applications in mid-November.

According to government sources, major celebrating activities include a grand evening banquet on December 19, a flag-raising ceremony and a large-scale celebrating conference on December 20.
