Israel Confident of Ties with US Under New President

i leaders have expressed their confidence in the continued good ties between the Jewish state and the
United States
under President-elect George Bush.
Israeli President Moshe Katsav said that he was sure Washington would continue to support Israel after the new president takes office.
Prime Minister Ehud Barak said that he was confident that the new US administration would continue to assist the search for peace in the Middle East.
He said the special relationship between Israel and the United States will continue.
