Russia Expects Constructive Ties with US for Bush's Ruling

Moscow wishes Russia and the United States will develop more constructive relations during US President-elect George W. Bush's term, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Thursday, December 14.

Congratulating Bush on his "uneasy victory" in the US presidential elections, the ministry hopes "the new US administration will continue to hold an active and mutually advantageous dialogue with Russia on all key international and bilateral problems, keep constructive commitment to Russian- American relations and ensure their further ongoing development."

"The Russian leadership will rivet priority attention to cooperation with the United States to maintain peace, strengthen strategic stability and confront global challenges," the ministry stressed.
