Pakistani Nuclear Program in Safe Hands: FM

Pakistan has taken sufficient international level safeguards envisaging responsibility and restrain about its nuclear program, said Pakistani Foreign Minister Abdul Sattar on Thursday, December 14.

The country's nuclear program is in safe hands, the foreign minister said while speaking at a function here.

Following the May 1998 atomic explosions by India and Pakistan, he continued, the UN Security Council has asked both countries to take necessary steps to save this region from the nuclear holocaust.

Pakistan has responded to the call of the Security Council, declared the foreign minister.
