China Discovers Ruins of Ancient Porcelain KilnThe ruins of an ancient porcelain kiln that can be traced back to nearly 1,000 years ago, were recently discovered in north China's Hebei Province.The ruins were discovered at a construction site in Hedong village, Jingxing County. Archaeologists said that after 70 days of unearthing work, they have found a number of stamped porcelain plates, bowls and other cultural artifacts. The archeologists have identified the porcelain kiln as belonging to the Jin Dynasty (1115--1234) and agreed that this discovery will have significant meaning for researches of both porcelain and the Jin Dynasty. |
