China Yunnan Commodities & Economic Cooperation Fair Inaugurated

China Yunnan Commodities & Economic Cooperation Fair, in which over 40 companies participated, was inaugurated Thursday, December 14, at the Cambodian National Exhibition Hall in Phnom Penh.

Vice Governor Shao Qiwei, Cambodian Minister of Commerce Cham Prasidh and Chinese Ambassador Ning Fukui sponsored the opening ceremony of the fair.

The China Yannan Commodities & Economic Cooperation Fair, organized by the People's Government of Yunnan Province, is to promote the economic and trade cooperation between China and Cambodia, said the Vice Governor at the opening ceremony.

The Fair will allow the Cambodian people to further understand Yannan province, strengthen the friendship and cooperation and enhance the scientific and technological exchange and economic development between the two countries, he added.

Cham Prasidh said that the political situation in Cambodia remains stable and various policies will gradually be improved, so the Cambodian government welcomes companies in the Yunnan province to invest in the country, and he also called on the local enterprises to cooperate with Yunnan companies in carrying out their business, because the Yannan province neighbors with Cambodia and has rich resources and good technology.

The Fair, held for three day from December 14 to 16, displays a wide range of Yunnan-made products including agricultural machinery, chemicals, building materials, electromechanical equipment, pharmaceuticals, tobacco, household appliance, light industrial products, daily necessities and other high-tech products.
