Guangxi Hits Hard on Corruption

The People's Procuratorate of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region announced Wednesday that the region worked hard to uncover cases of corruption and economic crimes this year, saving financial losses of up to 156 million yuan.

According to official figures, in the first 11 months of this year, procurators in the region investigated 1,069 economic crimes, involving 52 officials at or above the county level.
