Exhibit on History of Nobel Prize to Be Held in China

An exhibition reviewing the history of the Nobel Prize by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology (CAST) will begin on December 16 in Beijing.

The exhibition will display letters written to Chinese youth by 32 Nobel Prize winners.

The show will focus on the background of the prestigious prize in the categories of physics, chemistry, physiology and medical science, as well as the experiences and scientific spirit of the winners.

A CAST official said that the scientific spirit of the world renowned scientists will help teach the Chinese public, especially the young people, to respect science and to show interest in it.

Beijing is the first stop of the exhibition, which will tour around the country next year.

Viewers may access the exhibit on the Internet by logging on to www.cpst.net.cn or they can surf the intranet terminals set up at

the exhibition site.
