China, Japan to Jointly Manufacture Coaches

China's Shenyang Aircraft Industrial (Group) Company and Japan's Hino Motors Ltd. will jointly manufacture coaches.

A source from the Chinese side said that the joint venture project has been approved by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.

The new coaches will be released into the market in 2003, with an annual output of 3,500 coaches and 5,000 coach chassis.

According to the source, the new joint venture will soon be set up between the two sides with the Shenyang Aircraft Industrial (Group) Company holding a 51 percent share.
