Boeing Plane Successfully Refitted for the First Time in Xiamen
Taikoo Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. recently finished the remodel of the first cargo plane and held a grand returning ceremony. It is the first cargo plane of Boeing Company which was refitted successfully outside the USA proper. Japan Airlines checked and accepted the plane.
Taikoo Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. was authorized by Boeing Company after two years of preparation and signed the agreement in December 1999 on remodeling its first passenger plane into a cargo plane. On August 21 this year, the passenger plane of Japan Airline, No.JA8169, arrived at the garage of Taikoo. After over three months of intense work, JA8169 became a newly-decorated cargo plane and was delivered to Japan Airlines on time, which indicates that the maintenance ability of Taikoo Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. has reached a new level and filled out a gap in the field of remodeling of passenger plane into cargo plane in China.
