After nearly five years' endeavor in construction, China has initially realized its online foreign trade management, such as online relevant paper-application, foreign exchange settlement, tax levying, customs passing and customs checking and control in cooperation with other countries by linking up the Internet.

China international e-commerce center under Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MFTEC), has finished the construction of its e-commerce website, through which the ministry has realized online calling for bids and bidding for goods allotment and permitted commodities.

This year, the MFTEC and the e-commerce center has jointly developed a system for examining foreign contracted projects, and the system will by then be linked up with banks to enable the management on foreign contracted projects Internet-oriented. MFTEC is stepping up its efforts to link up with the General Administration of Customs, State Administration of Foreign Exchange and State Administration of Taxation.

The import and export quota certificate checking system, which was put to use by the end of last year has helped China conduct textile quota checking together with the US, EU, Canada by bridging up the Internet.
