Witness Backs Estrada Bribery Charge
The key witness in

President Joseph Estrada's impeachment trial presented on Wednesday a $100,000 check that he claimed would prove the president accepted payoffs from illegal gambling lords. Provincial Gov. Luis Singson, whose October allegations launched the impeachment drive against Estrada, took the stand on the trial's fifth day.
