Pierre Cardin Designer's Service Sought in China
Hoston Garments Company, a privately-run enterprise in Qingdao, has lately invited Terrana Rosolino, former Pierre Dardin chief designer and one of world top five suit designers, to offer his service at an annual salary of as many as RMB$2.4m yuan.
This is a step adopted to push our products to an international level in design, use of material, technology and product quality, said Hoston's Manager Mao Yanwei.
Paying high attention to its brand and product quality, Hoston has established itself as a famous garment company in a few years with a yearly output of 1.8m shirts, a two third of China's market to bring a total worth of over 100m yuan.
For increased diversified production Hoston decided to take up suit manufacturing and employ the service of Terrana Rosolino. With China's impending WTO membership, Chinese garment enterprises must be prepared to make most of foreign advanced suit manufacturing technology and talents to sharpen their competitive edge on international markets, said Mao.
