Shanghai Sharks Remain Unbeaten
The Shanghai Sharks kept their unbeaten record in the Chinese Basketball Association league with an 86-73 victory over Beijing Ducks in an eighth round match Wednesday, December 13.

The Shanghai Sharks, playing on home soil, led the half time at 43-41.

Also on Wednesday, Five time defending champion Bayi Rockets defeated Shandong Flaming Bulls 128-97 with Wang Zhizhi scoring game high 49 points for the winners. Liu Yudong added 34 points for the Rockets.

The Bayi Rockets jumped to 10 points lead in the first quarter, but in the second quarter, the Bulls had a 12-0 run and once narrowed the margin at 55-50 before the first half ended at 63-52.

Rockets' coach Wang Fei was more than happy for the win, the fifth in eight matches."We played a brilliant game tonight," he said. "But there is still a long way to go in the season."

In other games of the day, Vanguard Aoshen defeated Zhenjiang Cyclone 126-97. Guangdong Hongyuan trounced Jiangsu Dragons 126-107, Jilin Northeast Tigers outplayed Shenyang Army 121-84 and Liaoning Hunters edged Jinan Army 92-90.

All teams playing with home advantage enjoyed wins on Wednesday.
