Chinese Vice-Premier
Qian Qichen
met with Senator Max Baucus from the
United States
and his party Wednesday, December 13.
Qian expressed appreciation for Baucus' efforts to urge the US Senate to pass the bill on China's Permanent Normal Trade Relations status.
The two sides exchanged views on China's entry into the World Trade Organization and other issues of common concern.
The visitors are here at the invitation of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs.
