Beijing to Claim Nation's Longest Mileage of Subways

Beijing will extend its subway mileage from current 53km to 138.25km and as one of the 50 major construction projects to be undertaken in Beijing, it will put the capital in the first place of cities with the longest mileage of subways in China.

Of the 50 construction projects to be undertaken in Beijing, "No 5 subway", "August 1", "express tracks" and others, some having been basically completed and some just launched, are all important infrastructure items mapped, for which a total of about RMB$80bn yuan is estimated.
