Domain Name Across the Strait Unified

CNNIC and TWNIC have recently reached a preliminary consensus on the authorization of transferring of domain names. As reported, the first to be set up is a reversible system of code transferring from traditional Chinese character to the simplified ones and net surfing by the end of this month.

The two sides proposed to have the domain-names both in simplified and traditional Chinese characters co-registered, namely they are going to be shared by both sides. The proofreading and correction work for code transferring of the simplified and traditional Chinese characters will not be finished until the 17th of this month; and all websites registered on both sides can be opened to one another.
