First Chinese Private Enterprises Fair Concluded
Some 1,180 contract agreements worth 29.19 billion yuan and US$319 million were signed during the first Chinese private enterprises fair, which closed Tuesday, December 12, in Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province.

The agreements cover civil aircraft, machinery, electronic equipment, textiles, food industry, medicine and art.

Over 18,000 domestic and overseas business people and more than 2,000 private enterprises nationwide attended the five-day trade fair.

An international forum on the development of Chinese private enterprises in the 21st century was also held during the Fair which is sponsored by the State Economic and Trade Commission, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the ministries of education, science and technology and foreign trade and economic cooperation, and Yunnan Provincial People's Government.
