Beijing to Release First Midday Paper
Approved by the State Press and Publication Administration,
Beijing
's first midday paper - Labor Midday will be made available on January 1, 2001.
It is designed to be a 24-page paper focusing on night news and news of the Western Hemisphere. General office of the paper has been inaugurated and a trial version is to be issued on December 12.
The newly established paper will be a news medium to provide readers with first-time Western Hemisphere news, as well as stories of last evening and morning's beyond conventional morning or evening papers. It will furthermore borrow editing system from developed countries to regroup and organize the torrent of news reports flooding in everyday.
The paper will be published every Monday to Saturday.
