Sun Wen Elected FIFA Woman Player of the Century

The FIFA World Player of the Century awards was held in Rome, Italy on December 11. China's Sun Wen and American Michelle Akers won the title of FIFA Woman's Player of the 20th Century.

The 2000 FIFA Men's Player was honored to French midfielder Zidane. Pele and Maradona have been named footballer of the the 20th century, while Spanish Real Madrid was voted the FIFA team of century.
