Cross-Straits Symposium on Primary EducationThe 2000 Symposium on cross-Straits primary education opened in Shanghai Monday, December 11.More than 200 education experts, scholars and primary school principals from Taiwan, Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Sichuan, Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces are attending the three-day symposium, which focuses on the exchange of experiences in primary education and promoting bilateral understanding between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits. Participants will discuss the theory of primary education, curriculum and teaching materials, teaching methods, training of teachers and reform of education. |
