Air Cargo Handled by Hong Kong Airport Up in November

A total of 213,000 tons of air cargo passed through the Hong Kong International Airport in November, an all-time month record, announced the Hong Kong Airport Authority Monday, December 11.

This was a 5 percent rise over the same period of last year. November is one of the busiest months for air cargo as goods are rushed to markets ahead of the Christmas holiday period, according to a press release by the Airport Authority.

The latest statistics show healthy growth in other traffic sectors. Total passenger throughput was more than 33.1 million for the past 12 months, a rise of 9.1 percent over the same period of the previous year.
