A Boom Surfing on Net in China

Latest statistics from NetValue, biggest Internet market research center in Europe, showed that the average percentage of families surfing on net in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, has been up to 18.5% against 18.2% of France.

Take Beijing for example, it has already a surfers population of 45.4% compared to Britain's 31.3% and France's 18.2%, going to approach America's 51.2%. In contrast, Guangzhou and Shanghai give a 18.4% and 36.1%, respectively. The statistics show a speedily increased number of Chinese families surfing on net in last two years and 75% of these began to surf on net only during October 1998 to October 2000.

Three-person families form the majority or about 50% of all those surfing on net in China. Still, a thing to be noted is that 56.4% of net fans generally surf on net at home. Net users with a 15-24 history surfing on net are frequent callers on audio and video-frequency web.
