Nobel Prizes Awarding Ceremony Held in Sweden and Norway

Twelve laureates in physics, chemistry, medicine, economics and literature gathered in Stockholm Sunday, December 10, for the grand Nobel prizes awarding ceremony.

Chairman of Nobel Foundation Bengt Samuelsson made remarks at the ceremony and reviewed the history of Nobel Prize since it was set up in 1900.

King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden awarded certificates, medals and cheques to the Nobel winners.

Earlier in the day, the Nobel Peace Prize awarding ceremony was held in Oslo, Norway.

The Nobel Prizes are awarded every year on December 10, the death anniversary of Swedish scientist Nobel.
