Chinese Divers Dominate FINA Diving GP Super Final

Diving powerhouse China showed its superiority again when Chinese divers captured two more golds at the third FINA Diving Grand Prix Super Final in Bangkok Sunday, December 10.

Guo Jingjing, two-Sydney-Olympic-silver-medal winner, won women's three-meter springboard with 354.72 points while her teammate Wu Mingxia came as the second with 319.41 points.

Irina Vyguzova from Kazakhstan won the bronze medal with 305.52 points.

China's Hu Jia grabbed the gold medal of men's 10-meter platform with 472.23 points. Russia's Igor Loukachina won the silver medal with 385.14 points while Ukraine's Roman Volodkov came third with 363.09.

"I'm satisfied with our divers performance since they only resumed training for only three weeks. They tried their best," said Zhou Jihong, head of the Chinese team.

In Saturday's competition, China's Sang Xue won women's 10-meter platform and Wang Tianling won men's three-meter springboard.
