Guangzhou to Host International Auto Show

The 4th Guangzhou International Auto Show will be staged from December 12 to 16 in this capital of south China's Guangdong Province.

The biannual event, titled Auto South China 2000, is co-sponsored by the Foreign Economic and Technological Cooperation Corporation of the China National Automotive Industry Corp. and Messe Frankfurt (Hong Kong) Ltd..

It is estimated that some 160,000 visitors will attend the exposition in the 12,000-sqaure-meter exhibition center in the Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province.

Over 200 domestic and foreign auto makers from a dozen countries and regions including Australia, Germany, Italy, Singapore and the US as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan will bring more than 80 types of automobile models to the show, featuring a wide range of vehicles, including luxury cars, economical cars, sports cars, trucks, buses, and special utility vehicles.

The exhibition, which allows trading on spot, will also demonstrate auto parts and components, new car-making technology, materials and production lines, auto outfits and environmental-friendly auto products.
