Former Pakistani Prime Minister Leaves for Exile

Former Pakistani PremierLeft Islamabad for Exile early Sunday.

A special pardon has been issued to convicted Nawaz Sharif for him to go into exile in Saudi Arabia, an earlier official press release said.

On advice of Chief Executive General Pervez Musharraf, President of Pakistan Rafiq Tarar has pardoned Nawaz Sharif's " remaining jail sentence" while the rest of the punishment including fine, forfeiture of property and disqualification from public office will remain in place.
