Snow Forces Northeast China Airport to Close
The Taoxian International Airport in this capital city of northeast China's
Liaoning
Province closed to traffic earlier Saturday, December 9, as a result of heavy snow.
Up to now, seven flights have been called off and over 20 others were delayed including the flights to Osaka and Seoul, according to an official of the airport administration.
Airport staffs were organized to remove snow on the runway and the airport is expected to resume normal operation at 06:00 p.m.
Taoxian Airport is a traffic hub in northeast China. An overnight heavy snow forced the airport to close early this morning.
