International Tourism Conference Held in South ChinaAn international conference for sustainable tourism on the islands of the Asia-Pacific region opened December 6 in Sanya, the southernmost city of South China's island province, Hainan.The conference, co-sponsored by the World Tourism Organization and UNEP, attracted officials and experts from 29 countries and international organizations. This is the third such conference, with preceding conferences held in Spain in 1998 and Italy in May this year. |
