FM spokeswoman: China's Development Poses No Threat to Any Nation

Facts have proven and will continue to prove that China's development poses no threat whatsoever to any other nation.

On the contrary, China's development will only serve for the peace, stability and development of the region and the world at large, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue said Thursday, December 7.

Zhang made the remarks at a s press conference, in response to a question regarding an article in the recent issue of India's " News Behind the News."

Zhang said it is the unswerving policy of the Chinese government to develop friendly cooperative relations with all countries of the world on the basis of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence.

Such relations have experienced constant promotion for years, which is a fact witnessed by all, she said.

However, the Indian weekly has fabricated the so-called "China threat" in its article, saying that Japan and India are joining hands to confront China, said the spokeswoman.

"This is an attempt to undermine China's friendly relations with neighboring countries and will be of no avail," she said.
