Construction of Optical Fiber Base Starts in Tianjin
The construction of China's another large base for optical fiber production has begun in Tianjin with total investment amounting to 320 million yuan.
Optical fiber, considered fundamental importance for information industry, is a very promising high-tech industry. Facing fast development of information and Internet industry, there sees an increasing needs for optical fiber in many countries around the world, and China has to import a large amount of it from other countries.
To this end, Tianjin Tiancai Co. Ltd. has introduced advanced technology and equipment from foreign countries to engage in fiber production.
The municipality has taken optical fiber as a pillar industry for development.
