New Zealand Governor-General Visits Suzhou
New Zealand Governor-General Michael Hardie Boys visited the well-known scenic city of Suzhou in Jiangsu Province on December 5.
The governor-general visited a riverside village by boat and a famous garden in the city. He was also met by Jiangsu Deputy Governor Wang Bingrong.
Jiangsu has had vigorous trade relations with New Zealand. From January to October, two-way trade volume between Jiangsu and New Zealand reached US$800 million, about one-eighth of China's total trade with New Zealand.
Boys said he was deeply impressed by what he saw during his current visit to China, and he hopes New Zealand and China can strengthen cooperation and exchange in various areas.
