China's Silicon Valley Tries to Attract More Talents
Beijing will offer preferential policies to attract more people to work in the Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park, China's "Silicon Valley".
According to the 22nd Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress of Beijing, a regulation will be issued next year to provide preferential policies for university teachers, researchers and other experts that once studied abroad.
Teachers and researchers in universities and institutes are encouraged to start their business at the park, part time or full time, according to the regulation.
The regulation also loosens the limitation for people from other parts of China to work in Beijing and those that have studied abroad will enjoy more priority in children's education and social insurance service.
Beijing has to place importance on personnel so that it will achieve a sustainable growth since "personnel is the key factor of the high-tech development," said Wang Xiaoke, deputy of the Municipal People's Congress of Beijing.
