Experimental Project for Online Education Platform LaunchedThe experimental project for China's online education platform has been lately launched in Hunan University.By utilizing the high-tech resources of Hunan and Tsinghua universities and CERNET network and satellite transmission, ground microwave network, the project is expected to build up an open online education platform with a nationwide coverage to meet the needs for lifelong education. The project has as learned been listed in the state high-tech development plan of the year 2000, with a total investment of 160 million yuan, of which the 35 million yuan will be from central budget, the project will take two years to finish.
