Taiwan Research Institute Inaugurated
A research institute launched December 3, under Beijing Union University.
Centering on Taiwan's politics and cross-Straits' relations, studies with regard to Taiwan's economy, military affairs, society, history and culture along with the mainland's work and policies regarding Taiwan will be made by the Institute and put to use as reference material by government departments, academic institutions and business circles.
Under the Institute are several research sections as of politics and military affairs, economy and law, history, culture and others relating to Taiwan affairs having been formed.
