Third Convention of Overseas Chinese Scholars in Science & Technology to Be Held

The 3rd Convention of Overseas Chinese Scholars in Science & Technology will be held in Guangzhou Art Museum from December 28 to 30, 2000.

Sponsored by Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Personnel and Guangzhou municipal people's government, more than 1,000 post-graduates studying abroad will be invited to attend the convention.

Universities, research institutions and personnel departments from a number of provinces will brief the meeting about their policies in order to attract more students from overseas to come back for careers.

The convention will invite more enterprises, science parks and gardens for post-graduates to make careers, foreign venture companies, and also governments, institutions of higher learning and research units in China's western regions to participate in the convention so as to cater to the needs for China's western development.
