US Acting Consul General in Chengdu Visits Tibet
Xu Mingyang, executive vice-chairman of the
Tibet
Autonomous Region, met Monday, December 4, with Jonathan Aloisi, acting consul general of the
United States
in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's
Sichuan
Province.
Xu and Aloisi exchanged views on China's strategy to develop its vast western areas and economic development in Tibet. They also discussed issues like the protection of cultural relics and railway construction in the autonomous region.
