Chessboard in Liuzhou As Large As Basketball Ground
A chessboard as large as a basketball ground has appeared in the Jiangbin Park in Liuzhou, southwest China's
Guangxi
Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The chessman is 0.9 meter in diameter, most probably the largest in the world.
The mammoth chessboard will be used to hold Chinese chess competitions at weekends. The sponsor of the competitions plans to apply the chessmen for the Guinness world record via Guinness office in China.
